Outside funding has no bearing on admission to the Master’s or Advanced Certificate programs.

What are the NYU music requirements for applications?

Remember that admitting to NYU Steinhardt’s Music Education program is a three-step procedure. The first step is to assess your qualifications for music education, including your submission’s creative elements (pre-screen and interview).

Second, the music education faculty recommends admissions on your application. Third, undergraduate admissions will assess your academic application and make an acceptance decision.

All prospective students must submit their application materials online. During this procedure, you will:

  • Send in your performance videos.
  • Send your resume
